Blockbuster combo, Mohanlal and filmmaker Jeetu Joseph, best known for the Drishyam franchise, have reunited for a new film. The actor and director have come together for the fifth time after Drishyam and Ram, which is currently in the works. The newly announced film is financed by Aashirwad Cinemas.
Mohanlal and Jeetu Joseph have reunited for Ashirwad Cinemas production No. 33. The untitled film is expected to go on floors in August 2023. More details about the film are yet to be announced. The makers are yet to share the details of the cast and crew. However, the re-uniting of the pair has definitely got movie buffs super excited. The duo creates magic whenever they come together and they can’t wait to see what happens this time.

Please tell that Mohanlal and Jeetu Joseph have worked together five times so far. He gave blockbuster hits with Drishyam and Drishyam 2, which were also remade in several languages. Now, they are working on the third part of the franchise. Apart from this, both have also joined hands for another film, which is titled Ram. The shooting is going on at a brisk pace.
In an interview, Jeetu said that the shooting of the film is still about 50 days. Trisha Krishnan is the lead actress of the film. Ram is also made in two parts and will get a pan India release in five languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.
Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that the team of Drishyam (Hindi and Malayalam) are working together with a long-term view of shooting both the films simultaneously. “The idea is to shoot Drishyam 3 simultaneously and release them on the same date across India. While Kerala will release in Malayalam as Mohanlal George Kutty, the rest of India will see Ajay Devgn’s journey as Vijay Salgaonkar. Once the script is finalised, the Telugu Drishyam makers may also join forces to plan for a simultaneous release on the same date,” said the source.
