Nicole Kidman speaks out on microskirt controversy for the first time

In a recent interview with the Stellar Magazine podcast, the actor talked about his ever-changing style. Addressing the controversy surrounding her mini skirt, Kidman spoke openly about it for the first time and talked about her random choice. She said, “I make the most random, crazy choices. I call them ‘teenage choices’ because I never think about the consequences.”

Nicole continued, “Part of my mind doesn’t think so. I just say, ‘Oh, I’m going to wear this; it reminds me of my school uniform.’ Or, ‘Oh my god, yes, I’d love to do that. “I try to[stay]in that spot because I think otherwise you get scared or anxious,” Kidman told the Australian outlet.

Responding to comments made by netizens on her Vanity Fair cover outfit, the Big Little Lies star said, “Don’t tell me, I really don’t want to know. It’ll stop me from doing what I want to do.”

“There are times when you hear things and you say, ‘Oh my God, that’s really sad.’ Because you can’t live under a rock,” she continued, “but at the same time, I try to be really free in choices because otherwise, before you know it, you just shut down and you’re like Can’t step anywhere.”

The actor explained that she fears the same thing could happen to her daughters or anyone she loves, adding, “And I would hate that to happen to my daughters. I would hate that May this happen to everyone I love.”

Kidman continued, “Oh, well, I’m trying something, or I wanted to do it. It was fun. It was my choice. And yes, I own it. I’m accountable. Whatever.” I take responsibility. No one else chose it.”

Nicole Kidman paid tribute to Karl Lagerfeld at this year’s Met Gala

During the Met Gala in May, Kidman paid a touching tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld, reportedly one of her fashion inspirations and the iconic Chanel designer. The actor graced the red carpet in a stunning archival Chanel Haute Couture gown from the early 2000s.

Nicole spoke with The Associated Press about Lagerfeld and mentioned how he was a part of her life. Kidman revealed, “He was a part of my life, as well as his whole team. He was the person[who]really guided me in my love of fashion.”
