A day after making a bold statement that Pakistan may refuse to come to India to play ODI World Cup 2023, Pakistan’s Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Ehsan-ur-Rehman Mazari believes that Pakistan may refuse to come to India to play ODI World Cup 2023. may demand. ‘Hybrid Model’ outside India if India is doing the same for Asia Cup 2023.
Mazari said in Naya Pakistan show on Geo TV in Pakistan that former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi did not negotiate well for Asia Cup 2023. “Our talks for Asia Cup 2023 could have been much better. We are playing only 4 matches in Pakistan during Asia Cup 2023, when we are the hosts. Even the final is happening in Sri Lanka,” Mazari said on the Naya Pakistan show.
“The desire of the BCCI was that Pakistan should not host the Asia Cup 2023. But his wish was not fulfilled. However, the PCB has now negotiated it in a better way,” said Mazari.
“We can certainly negotiate terms with the BCCI that if they refuse to come and play in Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023, then Pakistan will play their ODI World Cup 2023 matches outside India under a ‘hybrid’ model Can also demand to play. We can definitely discuss it,” Mazari said.
