What are Neeraj’s best throws?
A throw of 87.58m was enough for Neeraj to win gold at the Olympics, but it was not his best throw in the men’s javelin throw. Neeraj had his personal best throw of 89.94m in the Stockholm Diamond League. This is also the current national record. The previous three national records – 89.30m at the Paavo Nurmi Games 2022, 88.07m at the 2021 Indian Grand Prix 3 in Patiala and 88.06m at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta – also belonged to Neeraj Chopra.
Olympic champion aims to cross 90m mark
Neeraj has most records and achievements to his name but the 90m distance is something that he has not been able to break till now. The 90 m club is considered the elite list in the men’s javelin throw. Ahead of the new season, two months back, Neeraj had said that he is sure of crossing the elusive mark this year. Let us see if Neeraj can do so in the two matches to be played in June.
