Mumbai: Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas was not shy about talking about an unpleasant incident in Bollywood when a filmmaker said that he “needed to see her underwear”. In an interview with The Zoe Report, Priyanka talked about shooting for a film in which the actress played the role of an undercover. Regarding the incident, she said it was an “inhumane moment” and said she walked out of the film.
“It might be 2002 or ’03. I’m undercover, I’m seducing the guy—apparently, that’s what girls do when they’re undercover. But I’m seducing the guy and you have to take off a piece of clothing ( at one time),” she recalled. “I wanted to layer up. The filmmaker said, ‘No, I need to see her underwear’. Otherwise why is anyone coming to see this movie?”
The actress said, “He didn’t say it to me. He said it to the stylist in front of me. It was such an inhumane moment. It was a feeling, I’m nothing more than how I can be used.” My art is not important, what I contribute is not important.” She walked out of the film after working two days. Her father Ashok Chopra asked her to return the production with his money. , which they spent. Talking about the director, Priyanka also said that she “just couldn’t see him every day”.
