5. Timely intervention: The matter came to light during a counseling session organized by the District Child Welfare Committee, which immediately informed the police about the horrific incidents.

6. Prompt Action: The police immediately recorded the statement of the victim, conducted medical examination and registered a case against the accused persons.

7. Boyfriend arrested: The victim’s boyfriend Sumesh was arrested two days ago and has been sent to judicial custody.
