Northern Ireland’s South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust is working with carelinelive, a home care management software provider, to maximize its resources and improve workplace efficiency.
The partnership has seen South Eastern adopt CarelineLive to manage its rostering and time capacity management, person-centred care planning and comprehensive carer information.
The Trust has seen impressive results since the solution was implemented in 2021. Over an eight-month period, South Eastern achieved 3,919 hours of capacity, worth £73,000, and saw a reduction in time spent on admin tasks from 17 to 12 hours a week thanks to rota management. In addition, 87% of service users have reported improved service delivery.
Josh Huff, Founder and Managing Director of CarelineLive, said: “CarelineLive has helped the Trust give valuable time back to carers, empowering them to spend more time caring for their clients.
“The results of the partnership are a true testament to how technology can revolutionize the home care management sector. We look forward to continuing to support SE Trust’s digital transformation and the results to come.
With South Eastern providing over 30,000 home care visits a week, the partnership with CarelineLive has provided a more efficient, cost-effective and streamlined service.
Alistair Fitzsimmons, Senior Manager Community Social Care, said: “Not only have we seen a phenomenal improvement in our capacity and efficiency but also an increase in the standard of care. We are now better able to tailor the care services people need and provide them at a time that is right for them.
“If someone needs more time then we can easily flex the system to deliver this without the need to make extensive changes to a complex paper-based system.”
In February this year, CareLineLive expanded its partnership with Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust to free up 60 beds per day for patients awaiting discharge from hospital.
