Sunny Deol unveils first look poster of son Rajveer’s debut film ‘Dono’

Mumbai: Sooraj Barjatya’s son Avneesh is all set to turn director with his debut film ‘Dono’. Interestingly, the film is not just Avneesh’s directorial debut, but also marks the Bollywood launch of Sunny Deol’s son Rajveer and Poonam Dhillon’s daughter Paloma. Sunny Deol also treated his fans and followers to be a part of his son Rajveer’s new debut as he shared a poster of the film on Instagram. In the poster, Rajveer and Paloma are seen sitting near the beach enjoying the mesmerizing view with their backs towards the camera.

Sharing the poster, he wrote, “It’s the beginning of a new beginning! #Dono, teaser coming tomorrow! Directed by @avneesh.barjatya, starring #rajveerdeol and @palomadhillon @rajshrifilms @officialjiostudios #DonoTheFilm #TeaserOutOn25thJuly @donothefilm.”

Sunny Deol has also shared the teaser date with the fans. Marking its 75th year in the Hindi film industry, Rajshri Productions on Thursday took to Insta to announce the date and teaser of their 59th film, a love story titled ‘Dono’. Along with the announcement, he also released the teaser. The teaser will release on July 25.

A debutante director presenting two fresh faces in a fresh love story that brings back nostalgia from Salman Khan and Bhagyashree’s debut film Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), directed by then debutant Sooraj Barjatya.

Avneesh will be directing Rajshri’s 59th film as a director, having previously worked as an assistant director on the mega-blockbuster Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015) and as an associate director on the critically acclaimed Unchai (2022).

In 2020, Rajveer’s grandfather and veteran actor Dharmendra shared the update on social media.

The ‘Dharam Veer’ actor wrote, “Introducing my grandson #RajveerDeol to the world of cinema with his debut film directed by #AvanishBarjatya.” He further added, “I humbly request all of you to shower both the kids with as much love and affection as you have showered on me. Best wishes and God’s blessings #rajshreefilms #barjatya #deols #rajveerdeol.”

The film is directed by Avneesh Barjatya and produced by Kamal Kumar Barjatya, Late Rajkumar Barjatya, Ajit Kumar Barjatya and Jyoti Deshpande. Sooraj Barjatya is heading the creative production for the film which will hit the theaters soon.
