The schedule of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India was announced on Tuesday at an event organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the International Cricket Council (ICC) in Mumbai. The tournament will begin on October 5 with a match between New Zealand and England, finalists of the previous edition, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The world’s largest cricket stadium will also host the final of the tournament on 19 November. Team India will play its first match against five. Time Winners Australia on 8 October in Chennai.
After this, Rohit Sharma-led India will travel to Delhi to play their second match against Afghanistan on 11 October. Team India’s third match against the arch-rivals is touted to be the biggest battle of the tournament, at least in the league stage. This important match will be played in Ahmedabad on 15 October. More than 1 lakh fans will be present to watch the match between India and Pakistan while crores of people will be glued to their TV sets and other digital devices to watch the match live.

India will play their last league match against a qualifier on November 11 in Bengaluru.
