The Little Mermaid live-action adaptation is all set to hit theaters on May 26. The film stars Halle Bailey as Ariel, who longs to learn more about the world beyond the sea and, while visiting the surface, falls for the handsome Prince Eric. (Jonah Hauer-King). The film is directed by Rob Marshall who recently expressed his desire to work with Ram Charan and Jr NTR.
In an interview with a leading news organisation, when Robb was asked about his interest in working with Indian actors, he immediately replied ‘Naatu Naatu actor’, pointing towards Ram Charan and Jr. NTR. He further added that both the actors are wonderful and fabulous. He was also particularly impressed with her physical appearance and appreciated her performance in RRR and her exceptional dancing skills.
Since the release of their SS Rajamouli-directed blockbuster RRR, the popularity of Ram Charan and Jr NTR has grown. The film attracted attention from all over the world and even received appreciation from renowned filmmaker Steven Spielberg. The film’s impact and the prowess of its lead cast increased when its song Naatu Naatu won the Oscar for Best Original Song.

The Little Mermaid stars Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Daveed Diggs as the voice of Sebastian, Awkwafina as the voice of Scuttle, Jacob Tremblay as the voice of Flounder, Queen Selina as Noma Dumjeweni and Art Malik as Sir Grimsby. ,
