Popular Telugu star Varun Tej Konidela got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, actress Lavanya Tripathi on Friday, June 9. The couple put an end to years of rumors about their alleged romance by making it official with a formal engagement ceremony. Soon after the ceremony, both Varun Tej and Lavanya shared some lovely pictures from the ceremony on their official Instagram handles. “Found my love! @itsmelavanya,” the actor wrote in his post. “2016 (heart and infinity emoji) got forever! @varunkonidela7,” Lavanya captioned her post.

The recently engaged couple has been receiving immense love from both their film industry friends and fans after making their engagement Insta-official. Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who shares a good friendship with both Varun Tej Konidela and Lavanya Tripathi, commented on the bride-to-be’s Instagram post: “Congratulations (heart emoji)”. Everyone commented on the posts of both Dil Aur Nazar Tabeez, her brother and Lavanya.

Actress Pragya Jaiswal commented on the actress’ post, “Many congratulations to you guys (red heart emoji).” Lakshmi Manchu wrote, “Congratulations to both of you (heart emoji) Here’s wishing you a lifetime of happiness.” On the other hand, Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty blessed the couple with a heart emoji. The newly-wed couple is also receiving immense love from their fans, who are praising them for keeping the relationship under wraps till it becomes official. “Keeping this private until it’s permanent,” some fans commented, along with a heart emoji.

Varun Tej and Lavanya’s love story

For the unversed, Varun Tej Konidela and Lavanya Tripathi fell in love while filming for their popular movies, Master and Antriksham. Reports suggest that Varun officially proposed Lavanya at his birthday party, which was held in Bangalore. However, the couple decided to keep their relationship a secret until they got engaged.

Bride-to-be Lavanya Tripathi looked gorgeous in a custom-made pastel green embellished Banarasi saree by Anita Dongre. She completed her look with a messy bun adorned with jasmine gajra, and a statement kundan choker with green tourmaline, and matching earrings with lots of bangles. The groom-to-be, Varun, on the other hand, looked dapper in an off-white embroidered kurta and matching pyjamas.
