‘Hail to the King!’ King Kohli played a tremendous innings on Thursday night at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium where he thrashed the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers and completed his sixth century in the Indian Premier League. The RCB star ensured that the franchise moved to the fourth spot on the points table and it is now till Sunday when both the Faf du Plessis-led side and Mumbai Indians will play their last matches of this season.

King Kohli took his fans by surprise after he was seen talking to wife Anushka Sharma in a video call after securing a win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The video was shared on social media and it didn’t take long for it to go viral everywhere. Some fans called it a “beautiful moment”, while others praised the bond between them. Anushka posted a story on Instagram to encourage her husband and wrote, “What an innings!” With heart emoji.

Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets and 4 balls to spare in a do or die match on Thursday. Virat Kohli scored a century in 62 balls while captain Faf du Plessis scored a half-century. Both of them shared an opening partnership of 160 plus runs which is the highest in IPL history. They both have now scored the most runs as a pair this season.

Faf du Plessis leads the Orange Cap list with more than 700 runs in 13 innings, while Virat Kohli is fourth with 538 runs in the same number of innings. RCB are now at the fourth position and will need to win the next game by a good margin to enter the play-offs of IPL 2023.
