New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for heavy rains in most parts of the country on Monday. Active Monsoon conditions are likely to continue over East-Central, Northwest and West India during next 4-5 days and further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and remaining parts There is a possibility. Western Himalayan region today, June 26,” the IMD said. The agency further said in a press release, ‘The Southwest Monsoon has advanced into some more parts of North Arabian Sea, some more parts of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab, remaining parts of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh today. 26 June’.
Conditions are favorable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of Gujarat, some more parts of Rajasthan, remaining parts of Haryana and Punjab during next 2 days, IMD said. “For East & adjoining Northeast India, fairly widespread to fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated thunder and lightning very likely to continue over the region during next 5 days. Over Odisha, Assam on 26th And heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Assam.” Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh on 29 and 30 June. “For Central India, light/moderate to fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy/very heavy rainfall, thunderstorm and lightning very likely over the region (Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha) during next 3-4 days. In Chhattisgarh There is a possibility of extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places on June 26, over East Madhya Pradesh on June 26 and 27, West Madhya Pradesh on June 27 and 28 and Vidarbha on June 27.
“For South India, light/moderate scattered to fairly widespread rainfall with isolated thunderstorm and lightning very likely over the region during next 5 days. Heavy to very heavy falls over Kerala and Mahe on 27th June.” Very heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over isolated Telangana on 26th, Coastal Karnataka during 26th to 30th June, South Interior Karnataka on 29th and 30th June.
For West India, light/moderate to widespread rainfall is very likely over the region during next 5 days. Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely over Konkan & Goa, Gujarat State and Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra on June 26. 30,” it added. The IMD also issued agro-meteorological advisories for rain, storm/gusty winds and heatwave in many parts of the country.
The release further said, “Draining of excess water from crop fields to avoid water logging in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh arrange for.” Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Kerala, Coastal Karnataka, Telangana and North Eastern states and provide stacking to vegetables.”
“Impact and action suggested due to extremely heavy/very heavy rainfall over Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan during 26-29th; Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand on 26th and 27th; West Uttar Pradesh and Haryana on 26th; 27 Gujarat region on date; Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra during June 26-28,” the IMD said in its press release.
