MS Dhoni, the former captain of the Indian cricket team, who is known for his calm demeanor on and off the field, has led the team to many achievements during his captaincy. Dhoni shares a strong bond with the team’s batsman Virat Kohli and together they have brought many victories for the country.
In August 2020, MS Dhoni retired from international cricket, marking the end of an era. His last appearance on the international stage was in the all-important Cricket World Cup 2019 semi-final against New Zealand. It was a match full of intense emotions and expectations, but unfortunately, it ended in defeat for the Indian team. After Dhoni relinquished the captaincy, the reins were handed over to the talented Virat Kohli, who took up the responsibility of taking the Indian team forward.
Did MS Dhoni ever vent his anger on Virat Kohli? Ishant Sharma threw light on this question. Despite his calm demeanor, former Team India skipper MS Dhoni has had his moments when he vents his frustration towards his teammates. Fast bowler Ishant Sharma revealed that even Virat Kohli has become a victim of Dhoni’s wrath. Ishant Sharma recently got into a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia on his YouTube channel TRS Clips Hindi, where he discussed various incidents that happened inside the dressing room. He also shared an incident in which MS Dhoni vented his anger towards Virat Kohli.
Ishant said, “The Test match against Australia was deadlocked and Cheeku (Virat Kohli) got out. We were playing Shikhar Dhawan’s first match and the Test match became challenging in the second innings. We managed to win, But it got bogged down in the second innings. Shikhar could not bat due to a thumb fracture. Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) told Chiku after the match, ‘When you know we are short of batsmen, you shot that shot. Why planted? He didn’t get angry, rather Virat realized from his words.
