New Delhi: This is the story of a 14-year-old boy, Caron Qazi, who has created history by being the youngest person ever to be hired by billionaire Elon Musk’s SpaceX. Now hailed as an American prodigy, Karen Qazi will be the youngest software engineer in Elon Musk’s organization. The boy received worldwide attention after Musk’s company announced that “SpaceX hires the best, brightest and smartest engineers in the world, even a 14-year-old by the name of Karen Qazi.” Joe will start his new job on SpaceX’s Starlink team on July 31. Congratulations Karen and welcome to the @SpaceX team!
Interestingly, the 14-year-old got the job after clearing the company’s “technically challenging” and “fun” interview process. Kazi’s exceptional ability, combined with his technical skills, his curiosity and enthusiasm, made him an outstanding candidate during the selection process. Qazi eagerly accepted an offer to work on SpaceX’s Starlink team, contributing to the ambitious satellite constellation project that aims to revolutionize global broadband coverage.
Who is Karen Kazi?
San Francisco-based Qazi will soon graduate from the Santa Clara University (SCU) School of Engineering, setting another record as the youngest graduate from the prestigious institution. Qazi’s journey to success began at a young age when he enrolled at the Las Positas Community College at the age of 9. Amazingly, he was a STEM tutor in his college. His pursuit of knowledge enabled him to pursue college-level courses at a time when his peers were still in elementary school. “I went from third-grade rebel to feeling really intellectually validated,” Kazee said.
AI and Machine Learning Specialist
After earning an Associate of Science (Mathematics) degree with highest distinction, Qazi began a multi-year internship at a leading technology company, receiving hands-on training in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He gained valuable insights during a summer internship at a cyber intelligence start-up backed by venture capital. When asked how he got his job at SpaceX, Qazi said, “I will be joining the best company on the planet as a software engineer on the Starlink engineering team. One of the rare companies that took advantage of my age.” Not done as arbitrary and old representative for maturity and ability.”
He also thanked Kazi Lama Nachman, director of the Intelligent Systems Research Lab at Intel Labs, with whom he worked on Generative AI. His training changed his ‘career trajectory’ forever. Qazi is also grateful to his mentors, including SCU and Intel, who gave him the wonderful opportunity to look beyond his age. ‘I am forever grateful that you recognized my value, trusted my abilities and invested in my development. I am excited to take these cultural lessons into my career.
As he begins his journey with SpaceX’s Starlink team, the world remains extremely confident that this extraordinary young talent will definitely lead some outstanding transformational innovations in the days to come.
