Chennai: Officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) carried out searches at the Chennai residence of senior IAS officer S Malarvizhi, who is suspected of embezzling public funds. When he served as the District Collector of Dharmapuri from February 2018 to October 2020, an FIR was lodged against the officer for printing receipts of Rs. S. Malarvizhi: Background
Starting her career as an IAS officer in 2009, S. Malarvizhi served as Sivagangai Collector from 2015-17 and Dharmapuri Collector from 28.02.2018-29.10.2020. Through Group-I exam, S. Malarvizhi was enrolled in government service in 2001. In Chennai, she was a Joint Commissioner in the Commercial Taxes Department. Prior to being named the Collector of Sivagangai District, she was serving as the District Revenue Officer of Virudhunagar District. Presently, Malarvizhi is serving as the Vice Chairman of Science City.
