Ty Jones, who is a famous TikTok star and is known for his striking resemblance to British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, was recently banned from the social media platform TikTok, which left fans wondering why and The reason for his sudden suspension.
Here’s the reason why Ty Jones was banned from the account:
Despite numerous warnings that he was not Ed, Ty Jones was banned for “impersonating” the artist.
Ty Jones, a 28-year-old influencer, looks like British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran. TikTok banned his account for “impersonating” a celebrity.
Jones announced the news on Instagram, posting a snapshot of his TikTok profile, which had been “banned”. Despite confirming in his profile that he was not Ed Sheeran and had a completely different name from Sheeran’s account, Jones was rejected by TikTok.

Ty Jones sent a message following his TikTok ban.
“Frankly enough, my TikTok account was banned for impersonating ‘I’m Not Ed Sheeran!’ And my videos included my personal life as a celebrity lookalike etc,” he said.
“TikTok just banned me; I appealed and got a response within minutes that it was denied; I really feel discriminated against because of the way I look.” I contacted Ed Sheeran’s management, who said they have no involvement in the action being taken against me, but that the media are very interested in my story”.
Fortunately, his TikTok profile has been reactivated at the time of this writing after his accusations of an unexpected ban.
Although Jones wasn’t attempting to copy Sheeran’s TikTok presence, he pursued a career as a celebrity mimic, with much of his material consisting of amusing parodies of the “Shape of You” singer.
Jones has, in fact, gone viral several times before, one of the most notable being Sheeran’s impersonation at the KSI vs. Logan Paul 2 boxing event in 2019. Fox’s lookalike reveals the strangest requests he receives on his offans.
Tiktok’s famous doppelganger
TikTok has millions of users and the number of celebrity impersonators is staggering. Consider ‘Miss Kate’, Scarlett Johansson’s doppelganger, who went viral last year for her stunning Black Widow cosplay.
In April, YouTube sensation Logan Paul’s dead ringer, Rodney Peterson, got into a street brawl with UFC fighter Nate Diaz.
