Since their debut in 2013, the popular South Korean band BTS has truly become an icon of the pop music phenomenon, with a massive fan following across the globe. Despite singing mostly in their native language, the influence of the K-pop band consisting of members J-Hope, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, RM, Suga, and V is clearly undeniable. At a time when the band members are on a hiatus, there has been news that will definitely make all BTS fans, also known as the ARMY, super excited. Years after releasing their ‘Save Me’ webtoon, a K-drama inspired by the South Korean band titled Youth is set to entertain fans all over the world.
Notably, the adaptation of the BTS webtoon into a drama was announced years ago, however, it remained under development with little progress. Now, looks like things are back on track as a sneak peek of the cast for the drama was revealed at a recent event held in Seoul, South Korea.
Expected to be based on the alter-egos of the seven band members, the drama’s characters will be named after each member and played by actors such as Seo Ji-hoon (to play Kim Seok-jin), Ro Jong-hyun Will be played (to play Min Yoon-ji or Suga), Ahn Ji-ho (to play Jung Ho-seok), Seo Young-joo (to play Kim Nam-joon), Kim Eun-woo (to play Ji-min Jung Woo-jin (to play Kim Tae-hyung or V), and Jeon Jin-seo (to play Jeon Jung-kook).
As per the latest reports, the drama will focus on the life of the BTS singers in an alternate universe. The release date of the drama has not been officially revealed yet.

It started as a collaboration between BigHit Entertainment and LICO, the digital subsidiary of Naver Webtoon. This further led to the creation of a webtoon inspired by BTS’ greatest hits Save Me from the album ‘The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever’. After the webtoon became a hit, it was revealed that it would be adapted into a drama. This was confirmed by Bang Si Hyuk, the founder of HYBE.
Speaking about the fictional universe of BTS, it revolves around the band members’ friendship and their bonding that develops over time.
