Noida model Vanshika Chopra dies during fashion show, friend’s condition critical

Noida: A young model died today during a fashion show in Noida’s Film City area. Vanshika Choprani, a person standing near the model, also suffered serious injuries in this incident. Both Vanshika and Bobby Raj were taken to the nearby Kailash Hospital. As soon as the incident was reported, the local administration reached the spot and arrested four people.

The incident came to light during a fashion show organized at a private studio in Noida. Tragically, Vanshika, a promising model, lost her life after getting trapped under a lighting truss. Vanshika Choprani, 24, was a resident of Gaur City-2, Greater Noida. The injured youth has been identified as Bobby Raj, a resident of Gwalior Road, Agra. Presently he is undergoing treatment.

Both Vanshika and Bobby were taken to Kailash Hospital, where officials regretfully declared Vanshika brought dead. After necessary formalities, the post-mortem examination is being conducted, and his family has been duly informed. Meanwhile, Bobby continues to be treated at Kailash Hospital as authorities delve into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.

Since the incident, police have been actively conducting their own investigation, questioning the organizers of the event and the Lighting Trust provider. A senior police official confirmed that the four men have been kept in police custody for further questioning and possible legal action. This unfortunate incident has left the fashion community mourning the loss of a talented young model.

The accident happened at Laxmi Studio in Noida.

In-charge Inspector Manoj Singh said that on Sunday afternoon, news was received that an accident took place during a fashion show at Laxmi Studio located in Film City. Unfortunately, a female model participating in the event lost her life, and a youth was also injured.

On reaching the spot for investigation, it was found that a lighting truss (metal structure) had fallen on Vanshika and Bobby Raj during the incident. The people present on the spot immediately rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared Vanshika dead, while Bobby Raj is undergoing treatment.
