Obsidian Entertainment is finally ready to show us a little more Accepted, its an upcoming first-person fantasy RPG. In Xbox’s SGF Showcase, we got to see magical spells, combat dynamics, and the possibility of encountering all kinds of mythical beasts. Interestingly, you will be able to wield swords and guns in addition to casting magical spells. Like previous Obsidian games, companions will feature heavily. Your first companion will be Kai, a “coastal aumaua” and apparently one of the only friendly faces you’ll encounter, according to Feargus Urquhart, studio head.
The game is set in the same universe as Crowdfunded Pillars of Eternity, So expect more playful writing and storytelling. You will play as Edir’s emissary, investigating rumors of a plague. From there, it appears to all go downhill. With the tagline “Forge Your Destiny”, the trailer hints that you can choose to be a good or (very) bad guy. Feels like it can scratch till the Elder Scrolls itches elder scrolls 6 finally shows itself.
Accepted Slated to launch in 2024.
