Fans gear up for the world television premiere of Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster of the year ‘Pathan’ on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at 8 PM. To mark the occasion, die-hard fans of the superstar popularly known as Shah Rukh Khan gathered outside the iconic Mannat and set a Guinness World Record for the most number of people doing the iconic Shah Rukh Khan pose together. Over 300 fans of the Badshah of Bollywood gathered with open arms, even as the actor himself joined them in applauding in the balcony. The sea of crowd went into frenzy as Shah Rukh himself appeared in the balcony. Shah Rukh also danced to the beats of his latest blockbuster film Jhoom Jo Pathan while striking his signature pose.

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer spy thriller ‘Pathan’ was slated to release on 25 January 2023 amid a wave of protests across the country. Radical right-wing and associated fringe groups, including leaders of a particular political party, criticized the makers of the film for singing ‘Shameless Rang’. Actress Deepika Padukone’s saffron-ish dress reportedly hurt religious sentiments, according to right-wingers. Following massive protests and calls to boycott the film, the CBFC asked the makers for a revision. After the cut, the film was given a U/A certificate. Despite threats by right-wingers to theater owners and moviegoers, Pathan broke several box office records and became the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2023. It became the first Hindi film to gross Rs 100 crore globally on its opening day.
